Add some

This holiday season,

and
bold
Nicole DeCosta,
editor
Happy November, everyone.
Wishing you fun
celebrations filled with love and memorable outings when
attending events and shopping locally this season. The city’s
festivities are underway — are you prepared?
n
Coat for all outings:
In this edition, Sherry Dorn shares
how versatile a man’s sports jacket can be (see pages 4 and
5) using an Italian wool and cotton blend jacket from Patrick
James. Whether it’s worn at the office, for drinks with the guys
or to football party, look polished this season with minimal
effort.
n
Boot camp:
Don’t worry, no drill
camp is required to lock into this look
spotted on locals. Women all over town
were caught wearing tall boots and
wrapped up in comfy sweaters and
scarves (see pages 5 and 6). The
look is timeless, elegant and
no horseback riding lessons are
required to appear as if you just
left your equestrian club.
n
‘ART’ of acting:
Meet David Knell, a Lake Oswego actor
appearing in ‘ART’ this month at the Lakewood Center for the
Arts and who you may recognize from films such as “Turner
& Hooch,” “Total Recall” and “Splash” (see pages 9 and 10). We
could all take a lesson from his passion for his craft.
n
Wine and dine:
When preparing for your holiday cel-
ebrations, turn to local wine experts to recommend that perfect
blend (see pages 12 and 13) to pair with festive cuisine.
Hoping your season begins bright. This year, I’m thankful
for my supportive friends and family who always offer en-
couragement and make me laugh, my grandparents for their
amazing wit and advice, a media career I’m passionate about
and my best friend/husband who just came home with a baby
grand piano that we’re now trying to figure out how to play.
Cheers to celebrating Thanksgiving with me in my favorite
city, Lake Oswego. Now, when do we start sampling wines?
