Left: Yellow jacket by Tribal can be found at The Difference.
Right: Aquatalia boots available at Soletta.
which easily re-invents itself into an
evening look, suggesting you kick
your heels up on the dance floor.
The Difference
So many choices, but I couldn’t
resist this bright yellow jacket - a
savvy, modern take on business
dressing. The pairing of this jacket
with the skirt proves that yellow
and black are brilliant together.
The wiring inside the double scal-
loped collar, adds interest around
the neckline. It’s perfectly designed
by Tribal. For accessorizing, you
can’t go wrong with this amazing
pounded metal disc necklace and
drop dangle earrings. They create
a perfect look for day, and should
get you in the mood for an enjoy-
able evening out. All that’s needed
is an extra slick of lip gloss, a dab
of your favorite perfume and you’re
ready!

Soletta:
Black patent boots shout
“fashion statement” and can easily
transform and maximize the po-
tential of your wardrobe. This tall
boot by Aquatalia will catch sec-
ond glances. So perfect for Oregon
weather, it’s even waterproof.

Studio, 436 First St.
“My best advice is
to add something new
into your workout.
Often people get in
a rut, and get bored,
which then they’re
not motivated to keep going. For me
personally, when I found Pilates, it
rejuvenated my whole outlook on
working out.”
Jennifer Limbaugh of CrossFit Ex-
cellence, 397 North State St.
“I would tell people
that if it has a food
label, it’s not food.
We teach people to
eat the caveman diet:
being Paleolithic. Our
protein needs to be whole, and our
vegetables need to be our first source
of carbohydrates.”
Kimm Mahoney-Watson of Pilates
Bodies Studio, 16130 SW Boones
Ferry Road
“My mantra is:
Whatever works.
There are tons of
different fitness mo-
dalities out there, but
what I think is most
important is to include exercise into
your daily life. Make it an enjoyable
part of every day.”
David Walker Clapp of Suck It Up
Fitness, 333 South State St.
“Number one tip is
nutrition first. If you
are not willing to do
the right things nu-
tritionally, then don’t
waste your time on
the exercise, because we know that
80 percent of results are coming out
of proper nutrition.”
