LAKE OSWEGO REVIEW
AUGUST 2013
9
here is nothing more refreshing than the easy, breezy August
nights of Oregon where the weather is warm and the evenings
are balmy.
It’s a great time to go cruisin’ in a cool cherry car, with Neil Dia-
mond blast-
ing “Sweet
Caroline.” Or
better yet,
take the boat out on the
lake for a brisk drive
and let your hair blow
in the breeze. Hmmm,
all of the above sounds
more than fine . . . just
toss a picnic basket in
the back seat, wine and
a yummy dessert for
ultimate perfection. Oh
yes, everything seems
so right in Lake Oswego!
Later, when darkness
falls but your day isn’t
done, just think how
you can energize your
look with a smart fash-
ion switch with “three
jackets in one.”
Choose a mod, mod
world and enjoy that everything old is new again! The 1960’s influence
is strong and so all-American.
Now watch and see how easily these pieces go together, why we love
them, and how to wear them!

EG Page:
Maxi print mod dress; we’re
mad for mod and the sixties! We love
this maxi vintage print dress by Clover
Canyon; it’s glamorous, casual, and retro
classic all rolled into one. Clover Canyon
are masters of mixing prints and making a
colorful statement. The keyhole neck (front
and back) is chic, and the drawstring waist
so figure flattering. It’s sure to make
heads turn, so wear it everywhere and
feel polished and comfortable.
Jewelry:
Coral leather cuff by designer
Alisa-Michelle with stacked beaded
bracelets by Jill Michael.
Soletta Shoes:
Grecian wrap leather san-
dals will always get you second glances. In
strappy shades of coral and cream, by Fiel.
EG Page:
The chic school boy blazer by
Joie mixes well with everything and can
be tossed over anything.
The blue linen chambray jacket was
chosen for its simple, clean shape and its
award-winning looks when paired with a
maxi- dress. It also works easily with soft
swirled printed shorts, a bright t-shirt and
bold black and white stripes. The choices
are endless with this winning jacket!
Grapevine:
For an instant update, black
and white is such a strong combo and al-
ways flattering. We played it up with a long
blouson black top by Susana Monaco. It’s a
great layering piece with style that would
also pair perfectly with soft, fluid shorts.
The pop-art striped pencil skirt by Bailey
44 matches and features double lining that
helps skim the body perfectly, along with
adjustable side ruching.
Jewelry/ Grapevine:
Attention-getting,
pearl necklace with medallion and smart
toggle closure by French Kinde.
Soletta Shoes:
Watch out for these stun-
ning, color-blocked shoes by Chie Mahara,
in unexpected shades of black, coral and
cream with a smart wedge heel. Toss on
a chambray jacket for a shot of blue and a
fresh combination.
