Take a cooking class
Whether you’re a

or a novice living off of frozen
pizzas, consider taking a cook-
ing class at In Good Taste’s Lake
Oswego location, 6302 SW Mead-
ows Road. The school offers ev-

on “char-grilled goodness” and
“Weeknight Wonders.” You can
join scheduled group classes or
create your own private class, if
you so choose. Call 503-248-2034
for more information, or visit

Visit a car or
boat show
Summer is when
freshly

cars shine the
brightest, and you can check
out dozens of them at the 13th
annual Collector Car Show pre-
sented by the Oswego Heritage
Council. The free show takes
place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug.
18 at George Rogers Park, on
State and Ladd streets. The Lake
Oswego Lions club will serve
breakfast and lunch for $6 each,
and the car show will take place
in conjunction with the Classic
Boat Show. Boats will be on dis-
play at the LOC docks behind the
Lake Twins Cinemas, as well as
the Foothills Park Marina and at
George Rogers Park next to some
of the cars. You can register a car
of your own by visiting oswego-
heritage.org/events/carshowinfo.
