LAKE OSWEGO
CHAMBER
MISSION
STATEMENT
Actively promoting
business success in
partnership with the Lake
Oswego community.
VISION STATEMENT
The Lake Oswego Chamber
of Commerce is an
exceptional chamber
with a strong commitment
to its advocacy for the
success of businesses and
for its service to the Lake
Oswego community.
WELCOME
On behalf of the Lake Oswego business community,
I invite you to “experience Lake Oswego,” one of
the most beautiful and sought after addresses in
the State of Oregon. Whether you are here as a
visitor looking for information on Lake Oswego,
looking to relocate a family or business or on
Chamber business, I hope you nd this publication
to be the “one stop shop” for your information and
referral needs. Our location just south of Portland,
bordered on three sides by I-5, I-205 and State
Hwy. 43, and nestled in the hills surrounding
Oswego Lake and the shore of the Willamette River
has made this community the perfect place to live,
work and raise a family.
While initially thought to become the “Pittsburgh
of the West” because of the huge iron deposits
in our surrounding hills, as the need for iron
decreased the beauty of the area quickly brought
the Portland community rst to visit, play and
then to live, creating in the process a quality of life
second to none. Residents here believe strongly in
preserving the natural beauty of the area, providing
the nest education possible for our students and
advancement of the arts.
As a Chamber of Commerce we act as this
community’s cheerleader, as a resource for the
community and the region and as the voice of
commerce, representing 600+ businesses at
the city, county and state levels. We are here to
promote your business by offering outstanding
networking, advertising and educational
opportunities, all designed to help you be
successful in Lake Oswego.
With our close partnerships with the City, the
School District and the Lake Corporation we are
able to represent business on almost any issue or
concern. As a community leader we enjoy working
closely with this community’s many partners
including neighborhood associations, business
district associations, the Adult Community Center,
the Oswego Heritage Council, the Arts Foundation
and the Lakewood Center for the Performing Arts.
If you’re in business, join us. We believe the phrase
“Lake Oswego” is synonymous with success. Let
us help you to be a part of that success. If you’re
visiting we welcome you, enjoy the experience we
have to offer and please come back again!
