The City of Lake Oswego offers a wealth of services and programs - full service police and fire protection, a celebrated
library, award winning parks and open spaces, and numerous recreational opportunities including an 18-hole golf course,
adult community center, and water sports center.
Easy Access to the Information You Need
Have a question or need services from the City but don’t know where to start? Try the Citizen Information Center on
the first floor of City Hall, 380 A Avenue. The office can assist with your needs and concerns and provides a number of
publications about City programs and activities. Call 503-635-0257, for more information.
Safe Neighborhoods
The City’s Police, Fire and Public Works Departments provide a full range
of support to Lake Oswego citizens and businesses 24 hours a day. Police
and Fire personnel are also available for onsite crime prevention, security
assessments, fire prevention, and inspections. For Police services, call
503-635-0250. For Fire services, call 503-635-0275. Our non-emergency
dispatch number is 503-635-0238. To report a pothole, a missing street
sign or streetlight that isn’t working, or to check for a water leak, call
Public Works at 503-635-0280 during business hours, Monday through
Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call 9-1-1 in case of emergency.
Active Living
Enjoy year round activities at parks, open spaces, trails and pathways,
and special facilities including the Public Golf Course, Tennis Center,
Water Sports Center, Adult Community Center, Skate Park, Swim Park,
Hazelia Field and Luscher Farm. The Parks and Recreation Department,
located at the West End Building (4101 Kruse Way), also offers
community events, classes, and activities for all ages, interests, and

Community Development
The City is committed to enhancing its neighborhoods, supporting the attraction, retention and expansion of businesses,
and promoting the overall economic vitality of Lake Oswego. Questions about planning, building, engineering, annexation,
zoning and other similar questions can be answered on the third floor of City Hall. The City’s Capital and Economic
Development Department is also found on the third floor.
Public Library
In addition to magazines, newspapers, large print books, talking books, videos, and compact discs, the Library, located at
706 Fourth Street, offers educational and entertainment programs. Programs include computer, internet and technology
classes, online continuing education classes, and in-house programs on job searching and resume writing. Entertainment
and cultural programs include Lake Oswego Reads, art exhibits, mini concerts, author lectures, and children’s programs.
