Introducing

New Technology at.

In our desire to always be in the forefront of state-of-the-art orthodontics,
we included in our scope of practice three new technologies: iTero Scanner, Botox,

and Zila Soft Tissue Laser.

iTero is a tooth and mouth
scanner that allows us to take a series
of 3D photos of our patient’s teeth.
The images of the teeth and gums

are then immediately uploaded to a
computer that will allow us to send the
digital images directly to Invisalign
or SureSmile. We can also send the

images to our lab to have orthodontic
appliances and custom mouth guards
made. Also impressions for records will
now be taken digitally. The beneits are
signiicant. No more messy impression

material in the mouth and no more
chances of gagging. The scanner
produces very accurate images of the teeth allowing for perfect it of aligners,
SureSmile wires, and orthodontic appliances.

Botox has been used to treat migraine and tension headaches for many

years. It is currently being used to help relieve and treat facial pain (myofacial
pain) that may be related to Temporal Mandibular Dysfunction or TMD, tooth
grinding, and/or clenching of the jaws. Botox is injected into the affected head
and neck muscles blocking nerve signals that cause muscle movements, essentially
relaxing the muscles and reducing or eliminating facial pain. Botox can also be

used to reduce gummy smiles or “crooked” smiles caused by a hyperactive smiling
muscle. Botox injections take only a few minutes and will remain effective for up
to 3 months. We are treating patients with Botox with great results.

Lasers have revolutionized the way doctors practice dentistry during
the past several years. The diode lasers cut with a very small zone of necrosis,
allowing the doctor to perform a wide array of soft-tissue procedures with

hemostatis control and the stimulus offer rapid healing. We are using the micro-
laser for esthetic re-contouring of the gum tissue, for removal of excessive gum 114
tissue for the proper placement of brackets and the tissue release around erupting W0
teeth. It also can be used to treat cold sores and apthous ulcers to reduce pain and 05.H
promote healing.

forces, Invisalign and Invisalign Teen for those who wish a more discreet form of
