On November 29 the remod-
elers of the PrO met for break-
fast and discussed the proposed
changes to the Historic and
Conservation districts in the city
of Portland. Justin Wood, HBA
Government relations, shared
insight on the changes being
proposed which would include
some loosening of the regula-
tions about minor changes to
residential structures, but which
may also make it easier to facili-
tate the creation of new historic
districts in the city.

The last Thursday in November
played host to our Final
Associates Forum of 2012. After
a quick meet and greet session
the assembled professionals
spent the afternoon discussing
Leins, Lawsuits, Credit History
and references and how and
when to use each as a tool
for business. Abigail Adams,
Classic Electric LLC, brought in
some great resource material
and topics for the discussion
and Brian Linse from Far West
Credit Services contributed
some useful insight based on his
company’s experiences dealing
with the subject matter. Please

one of the only formal HBA events of the year.
This years’ Annual HBA Build-
ers Ball was highly attended
and thoroughly enjoyed by over
180 people. The delicious meal
by Celebrate! Catering, hilarious
videos in honor of our incom-
ing President, Steve Heiteen,
and our unforgettable guest,
the Godfather, were just a few of
the things that made this party
one to remember for years to
come. Congratulations again to
our Annual Award Winners, our
2012 President Gordon root and
newly inducted 2013 President,
