This year’s NW Natural Street of
Dreams is already generating ex-
citement with multiple pre-sales
and potentially more homes than
have been seen since 2005. The
desirable development named
“Stonehenge” in West Linn has
inspired eight HBA builders, six
of which have already pre-sold
their homes. According to Nancy
Haskin, a former Street of Dreams
Builder, and the HBA VP of Mem-
bership Services and Events, this
year’s Street is riding the wave of
a growing industry and consumer
confidence. “Clearly, the buyers
are seeing the value they get
from building in the Street site,”
she said.
The value of participation in
the NW Natural Street of Dreams
home show is virtually un-quan-
tifiable for builders. Builders who
have returned year after year to
this flagship HBA home show are
a testament to its marketing val-
ue. The investment in the Street
can cover a builder’s advertising
for the year, and keep them busy
for years to come. HBA member
builders who are interested in
exploring Street participation are
invited to get involved from the
beginning of the site develop-
ment process. Subsequent year
Street locations are announced
in late summer and are followed
shortly by an information ses-
sion with the developer. Nancy is
always available to give one-on-
one guidance to an interested
builder.
But, the value of show par-
ticipation doesn’t end with the
builders. Associate members are
encouraged to contact participat-
ing builders to partner with them
on featuring their products and
services inside the homes. The
Street attracts a consumer crowd
of over 65,000 people with sig-
nificant purchasing power. To fur-
ther develop business to business
sales and consumer marketing,
HBA members may choose from
a variety of show sponsorship
opportunities. From a business-
to-business perspective, show
sponsorships allow members to
get to know key industry players
and develop face-to-face rela-
tionships. From a consumer per-
spective, sponsorship puts your
company’s name and products
at top of mind when a customer
decides to remodel, buy new or
simply purchase a new product
or service for their current home.
HBA members who have con-
sistently taken advantage of the
HBA’s unique sponsorship op-
portunities, like ProBuild and
Standard TV & Appliance, have
become the go-to source for HBA
members and consumers alike.
Plus, every show, including the
NW Natural Street of Dreams, has
the ability to provide an interest-

and business objectives.
