around the Gresham and East Metro
Area quick and easy. A network of
Interstate, US, state and local roads
crisscross the area offering residents,
visitors and businesses easy
accessibility on a year-round basis.
The extensive system includes:
Portland
International Airport
The rapidly growing airport, one of
the busiest on the west coast, is a 15
minute drive from Gresham and offers
both passenger and cargo flights.
Flights are also available to foreign
trade zones with direct flights to Asian
markets and around the globe.
Interstate Highways &
Freeways
Highway 26 and Interstates 84
and 205 provide quick access to
Mt. Hood, the metro area and the
beautiful Columbia River Gorge.
Max Light Rail System
The central feature of the public
transportation system is the award
winning Metropolitan Area Express
(MAX) light rail line, which begins at
the heart of Gresham and connects
the Eastside to downtown Portland,
west to Hillsboro, north to Portland’s
northside area and to PDX Airport.

agency in North America.” TriMet
provides an extensive network of bus
line services connecting Gresham’s
residents, workers and visitors to the
metro area.
Rail Freight Availability
Union Pacific’s main east-west line
bisects Gresham’s major industrial
area providing spur connections to

Deep Water Ports
The Columbia River provides inter
