DOWNTOWN BEAVERTON
3
Celebrate Beaverton
every day!
O
n September 5,
Beaverton friends
and
residents
came out for the
56th
annual
Beaverton
Celebration Parade, showing
in just one more way the
community spirit and pride
we have come to expect from
the Beaverton community.
You can see great pictures
from this event in this issue of Downtown
Beaverton (see page 7).
Beaverton is blessed to be a great place
to live, work and play and really does have
something to celebrate. People are one of
Beaverton’s greatest assets -- folks who show
community pride through volunteerism,
participation and community action.
The arts are well represented in Beaverton,
too, and so many activities -- like Downtown
Beaverton First Fridays, Last Tuesday
concerts, performances by the Beaverton Civic
Theater and more -- offer the entire city many
opportunities to come out and enjoy the arts in
Beaverton.
A multi-cultural community, Beaverton
is home to a diverse blend of people and
businesses including great restaurants and
local entrepreneurs. Programs and events
throughout Beaverton celebrate its unique
diversity, the annual International Festival
being a favorite.
Plus,there’sfunandfinefood,entertainment,
fashion, great parks and lots of great local
businesses to enjoy.
That’s what Downtown
Beaverton is all about
--
investing
in
our
community, living and
shopping
locally
and
celebrating
Beaverton
every day! As you read
through this edition, note
themany people, businesses
and fun things you find, and
next time you’re looking for
something to do -- think Beaverton!
When you work, live and play at home,
you build and maintain a robust community.
That’s something to celebrate!
