The Growlerie proves a popular hangout

The neighborhood tap
room has experienced

strong growth

Since The Growlerie opened at
Progress Ridge TownSquare last
November, owner Derrell Ness
has seen his establishment evolve
from what he thought would be a “grab and go” operation to a fun meeting place
where folks can enjoy Northwest wines,
ciders and beers.
“Our customers told us what they want-
ed,” said Ness. “We’ve become the neigh- borhood tap room.”
The Growlerie is a friendly, non-intimat-
ing environment, according to Ness.
“We’ve developed a really loyal follow-
ing,” he said. “Our growler mission re-
mains unchanged. Our growler business is doing well. We just didn’t expect the need
for a formal place to hang out after work.”
