Thelma’s Place
ortland Rose Festival Foundation donates basket to Thelma’s Place
February 22nd auction In 1914 the Portland Rose Festival elected Thelma
Hollingsworth as Queen to reign over the Festival. In Canby we have our own Queen
Thelma “elected” in 2008 to Thelma’s Place, a day respite center for individuals and
their families living with memory loss.
In 2008 the idea was born to open a non-profit respite and resource center located at
352 NW 2nd Avenue in Canby next to Country Side Living, a memory care community.
It included an Adult Day Center and a support program for people living with memory
