Gladiator Boys Basketball —
Recreational

Serves boys in grades K-8. Boys in
grades K-2 play in a coed league.
Registration is in January and the
season runs from February through
mid-March. Boys in grades 3-4 play
in an all-boy program. Registration is
in October and the season runs
November through January. Boys in
grades 5-8 play in the county Three
Rivers League. Registration is in
October and the season runs
November through February.

Oregon City Junior Boys Basketball
(formerly Tri-Star) offers a competitive
program for boys in grades 5-8. The
program serves two purposes for
Oregon City student athletes: to pro-
vide supervised basketball competi-
tion that promotes the development
of life skills such as teamwork,
sportsmanship and other aspects of
good character; and to promote skill
development and competitive experi-
ence for young players who aspire to
play at the high school level and
beyond.

Oregon City Junior Girls Basketball
offers a competitive program for girls
in grades 5-8 and has been in exis-
tence for over 20 years. The program
is supported and directed by the
Oregon City High School Girls
Basketball coaching staff. The pro-
gram is operated by volunteer par-
ents, and is designed to prepare play-
ers for the competitive High School
system.

The Oregon City Community
Schools offer a mini-hoop program
for first and second graders that runs
January through March, a program for
third through eighth grade boys that
runs November through January, and
a program for third through sixth
grade girls that runs January through
March. There is also a spring season
that runs from late March through
early May.

Serves boys and girls in grades
1-12 in the Rex Putnam High School
attendance area, providing both rec-
reational and competitive opportuni-
ties. The recreational program serves
youth in grades 1-12, with registration

September and tryouts are in
October; the season runs November
through mid-March.

leagues for youth.
Cheerleading
Hoopers Cheer: Grades 1 – 4
Cheerleaders learn basic skills,
stunts, arm motions, jumps, cheers
and a dance routine. Participants will
have fun and make friends. Hoopers
Cheerleaders cheer for Saturday Mini
Hoopers basketball games at elemen-
tary schools. Team T-shirt, skort and
pompoms included.
