Clackamas Repertory Theatre
Productions
Clackamas Repertory Theatre is a
professional theatre group founded in
2004 by the Clackamas Community
College Theatre faculty, with David
Smith-English, artistic director; Chris
Whitten, resident designer and techni-
cal director; Alva Bradford, costume
designer; and Cynthia Smith-English,
managing director.
Clackamas Repertory Theatre pre-
pares current and former Clackamas
Community College students for a
career in theatre, gives Clackamas
County youth the chance to experi-
ence theatre first hand through out-
reach programs during the school
year, and summer internships and
classes at the college, and offers high
quality financially accessible produc-
tions for the citizens of Clackamas
County and beyond.
All plays are staged at the Osterman
Theater, located inside the Niemeyer
Center on the campus of Clackamas
Community College, 19600 S. Molalla
Ave. in Oregon City.

Coming up: CRT’s play-reading
series, Sundays at 3: “A Small Fire,”
by Adam Bock, on April 14 and
“Lonely I’m Not,” on May 15. All play
readings are at 3 p.m. in the Osterman
Theatre on Sundays, for one day only;
tickets are $10. Plays contain adult
language.
CRT’s summer schedule includes:
“Harvey,” from June 27 through July
21; “Kiss Me Kate,” from Aug. 3 to
Aug. 25; and “The 39 Steps,” from
Sept. 19 to Oct. 6.
Krayon Kids Musical Theater
The Krayon Kids Musical Theatre
Company is a self-sufficient children’s
musical theater group, offering inter-
ested children an opportunity to par-
ticipate in original musical productions
that feature a wide variety of perfor-
mance disciplines. The company also
provides a quality program for children
to view and be introduced to musical
theater.

New Century Players
The New Century Players theater
group was formed in 2003. The group
currently produces at least three plays
a year.

Coming up: Tony Award-winning
play “God of Carnage,” by Yazmina
Reza; directed by Kevin Yell. A play-
ground altercation between 11-year-
old boys brings together two set of
parents for a meeting to resolve the
matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are
observed, but as the meeting pro-
gresses, and the rum flows, tensions
emerge and the gloves come off, leav-
ing the couples with more than just
their liberal principles in tatters. The
play is for mature audiences.
Performance dates: May 17, 18, 24,
25 and 31 at 7:30 p.m.; June 1, 6, 7
and 8 at 7:30 p.m.; and May 19 and
June 2 at 2 p.m. at the Rex Putnam
Blackbox Theater, 4950 S.E. Roethe

The Nutz-n-Boltz Theater Company
With performing arts funding contin-
ually being cut, and no real performing
arts center in east county,
Nutz–n-Boltz, formed in 2004, was
born with the hope of building a com-
munity theater that truly uses the tal-
ents of the local community.

Oregon City Children’s Theatre
The Oregon City Children’s Theatre
(OCCT) is a nonprofit organization
committed to providing the opportunity
of performing and learning stagecraft
to any child who expresses the desire
to learn about performing. The chil-
dren’s theatre is organized and run
completely by volunteer parents, family
and friends.
What makes the program unique is
that all aspects of the show, both
onstage and off, are handled com-
pletely by the children.
