MUSEUMS
— An-
tique Powerland Mu-
seums is a 62-acre
heritage power equip-
ment museum com-
plex in Brooks. There
are 15 individual in-
door and outdoor mu-
seums, which
include the
Truck, Car and
Motorcycle; Cat-
erpillar; John
Deere; Logging
and more. Other
displays include
fire apparatus
and a railroad steam
crane. Powerland is
open Wednesday
through Sunday from
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March
1 through Oct. 31. Ad-
mission is $5 and oc-
casionally higher
during events. Kids
younger than 12 are
free. Featured events
include the 40-acre
Branch 15 Swap Meet,
June 21-23, The Truck
Show on Aug. 24, fea-
turing more than 250
antique and working
trucks, and the popu-
lar Great Oregon
Steam-Up, July 27-28
and Aug. 3-4. During
these events, most
everything actually
operates. In addition,
there are many car
shows. For event

MULTNOMAH DAYS
— It’s a quirky little village with quaint shops and
a lot of character, so there’s a lot to celebrate at Multnomah
Village’s annual Multnomah Days celebration Aug. 17. Kick-
ing off with a parade down Capitol Highway, there is food,
music, vendors, movies and more. Don’t forget to take your
dog and get him washed at the Lucky Lab Public House.
Proceeds benefit Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital.
